The ribozyme switch contained a sensor domain, comprised of an aptamer sequence, and an actuator domain, comprised of hammerhead ribozyme sequence.When the aptamer sequence doesn't bind to the target molecule it activates the hammerhead ribozyme sequence to degrade itself.
